About The Card

This card was not planned. It was painted while thinking of a grandmother who had recently passed away, and it was only when it was finished that it became clear why every single leaf had come out pink. She loved pink. It was her colour, and here it was, working its way through the painting without any conscious decision to put it there. The most beautiful and unexpected thing. The card is a close-up of gum leaves on a branch, swaying gently in a design full of soft movement and flow. The leaves are a lovely soft pink, not at all how gum leaves look in real life, and entirely and lovingly intentional, with some yellowy-orange leaves woven through for warmth. This card comes with a cream envelope rather than the usual kraft, because the soft palette simply asked for it. Part of a collection painted with a very loved grandmother in mind.

An everyday card for any occasion, but one that is particularly well suited to sympathy, birthdays or a gentle and heartfelt "thinking of you." 

Frame it for a bedside table or a soft corner of the home. The pale pink and cream tones make it a genuinely lovely piece of mini art to keep close.
