About The Card

This card has a really lovely origin story. At a market, sitting next to a maker of Australian-scented candles, a conversation turned into a friendship and then into a beautiful design project. The brief was all about Australian native scents, about gum trees and the feeling of home. And there is a line from a song learned at primary school assemblies that kept coming to mind while working on it: "give me a home amongst the gum trees." It felt so exactly right. The card takes a close-up view of gum leaves on a branch, each one a little different from the last. Some in a deep mint green, some two-toned, each colourway inspired by the different scents in the candle range. Each leaf represents a scent that comes directly from the Australian bush. The result is colourful, warm, and unmistakably, beautifully Australian.
