I'll Always Need My Mum

There are moments in adulthood when independence falls away.

This card was created during a time when I was properly unwell and needed my mum more than I had in years. The kind of sick where even simple things felt overwhelming.

She showed up the way she always has. Making sure I was eating properly. Checking that I was drinking enough water. Quietly keeping an eye on me throughout the day.

It was a reminder that growing older does not mean growing out of needing your mum.

The design features hand painted yellow banksias layered with soft pink tones. Swallowtail orchid butterflies move through the florals, inspired by one that appeared in our family garden around the time my grandma passed away.

This sentimental Mother's Day card is perfect if your relationship with your mum is one you still lean on, no matter how grown up you are.
