Golden Banksia

Banksias are a favourite of mine to paint, and I feel lucky to see them often around the streets near my home. This piece was inspired by a bunch I stumbled across on a recent bush walk close to home — the sun was shining, and the yellow Banksias were glowing with the most beautiful golden light.

Hand-painted in watercolour with delicate, layered brushwork, this original artwork captures the warmth and shape of these iconic Australian natives.
