Garden Poppies

One of those designs that started as something else entirely and ended up being a favourite: this one began as wrapping paper, and the card form loved it just as much.

About The Card

This pattern was originally created for wrapping paper, and it was loved so much that it became a card too. On a white background, a full garden scene unfolds: two shades of green leaves: one limey and light, one deeper and more settled, with some leaves carrying a warm yellowy-orange wash. Bees drift through in their classic black-and-yellow. And then the poppies: red, light pink, blush, scattered through the design like a proper summer garden in full bloom. A little stripy caterpillar makes a cameo along the leaves, and some squiggly lines give the whole thing a lovely, hand-made energy. This is a pattern that makes you feel like you're standing in a garden on a warm afternoon.

An everyday greeting card that suits any occasion: birthday, thank you, get well, just because. The kind you keep a stack of for those "oh crap, I need a card" moments, because this one always lands well.
