About The Card
After the family dog passed away, a Jezebel butterfly appeared. And now, every time one shows up, it feels like him popping in to say hello. That feeling found its way into this card. The design is a flowing repeat pattern of Australian gum leaves, that beautiful sappy green, with flashes of red at the edges the way real gum leaves develop over time, and reddy-orange flowering gum that sways through the design with a lovely, gentle movement, almost as if caught in a breeze. Amongst it all, Jezebel butterflies land and drift: some resting on leaves, some in full flight with wings spread wide, some caught mid-flutter. Their wings are a creamy white with black tips and veins, and the lower wings carry touches of yellow and red. A pattern that feels alive, and carries quiet warmth.
