A LITTLE ABOUT ME AND MY STATIONERY BRAND
I'm Bec and I am a small, one-woman run, Australian Made stationery business based in Sutherland (found in the Sutherland Shire, just a short stroll from the Royal National Park), New South Wales.
I founded my business in 2016 after leaving my full time graphic design job and found myself looking for the little things that made me happy and sparked joy. I started freelancing and designing wedding stationery. In 2020 I found myself creating greeting cards and prints from my teeny tiny bedroom to sell at local markets on the weekend.
I am passionate about products being made in Australia and this is reflected in the choices I make in my business. All my products are printed onto eco friendly paper stocks
Warm and fuzzies, Australian made products and beautiful design is at the heart of my business. What are warm and fuzzies I hear you say? The kind of feeling you get when you’ve taken a sip of your first cup of coffee (or tea, I’m a massive tea drinker!), the hug you get from a loved one, laughter, a smile from a stranger or hopping into bed with fresh new sheets. It’s a feeling of love, happiness and comfort. That’s my aim here at littlehoothoot. To send more warm fuzzies out into the world in card form. Because let’s face it, we all need a bit love.
A LITTLE ABOUT MY INSPIRATION
A little part of me has always been obsessed with leaves. I love picking up leaves in my travels, whether it’s on a bush walk or a short stroll - it’s guaranteed that a leaf will manage to make it’s way into my hands. Each leaf is truly unique and beautiful in it’s own special way, much like us.
Whether it’s a speckled leaf found on the ground, a butterfly fluttering in the garden, or something that reminds me of a loved one, each card has a little story behind the design.
I combine my love of hand lettering and unique leaf patterns into beautiful greeting cards and prints.
I am best known for my delicately hand crafted scripts and leafy watercolour greeting cards. My other beautiful products include prints, 100% recycled notebooks and gift tags.
I truly hope my designs will bring something special to you.
